World Youth Day 2002

EIT was privileged to be selected as the exclusive supplier of simultaneous interpretation services at World Youth Day 2002 in Toronto (Canada), the largest event ever hosted by our beautiful city (July 2002). We provided services in seven languages. Our services were extensively used by the thousands of pilgrims but also, pursuant to an agreement with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, often broadcast to all five continents.

EIT furnished 18 simultaneous interpreters for this event.

With the exception of photo 1, all photos were taken on the last day of the event, at Downsview Park, on July 29, 2002.

Spartan lining conditions, extreme heat and humidity, but well-behaved pilgrims, flags from all countries of the world and smiles everywhere.
